I have been a long time Aston Martin fan, and finally decided to pull the trigger on a new, 2012 Virage Volante. It is everything I expected, and more. I have owned many exotics over the years, but there's nothing like an Aston Martin.

Here are a few pictures. I'm thrilled to be joining the AM club. hilarious

That is legitimately gorgeous. The interior is stunning. Congrats! I am sure you will be very happy with your new Virage.

I too agree on the sharp interior. Enjoy!
You have quite a resume of other exotics....I'm curious as to how you compare the AM experience to the others-please share.
Congratulations Barry. Welcome to a very happy group of owners.

I've loved all of the exotic cars that I've owned. Each has its own personality. I also race many different types of cars. What impresses me most about the Aston is how balanced and neutral the car is. It feels a lot lighter and nimbler than I would expect from a 4,000+ lb. car. The car handles great. Tons of power. The carbon brakes are awesome.

IMO, the only area for improvement is the transmission. I wish the shifting was crisper and more immediate. Even using the paddles, the transmission just feels sluggish.

That said, to me, Aston Martins are one of the most beautiful cars in the world, inside and out. Like Porsche, they started with a classic, iconic design, and continue to refine and improve it while maintaining the rich heritage of the brand. I've lusted over Astons for a long time, and I now have a permanent grin on my face knowing I have one in my garage.
