My apologies if you felt that we made a tongue-and-cheek comment. It was not made with that intention nor any other negative intention

I always wonder why AM only uses a 4 piston caliper while all AMGs use the 6 piston ones that are larger. I think the calipers look too small on any wheel. But I understand what you mean, however 1" overall really shouldn't be all that noticeable. However, ALL the blank space area could attribute to what you are seeing. Also the caliper color doesn't help matters. It is the wrong color. Should be AMG burnt copper rather than the milky brown copper that is on it.
Sharp angular spoke--- Not sure about that. I see what you mean, but I think its way aggressive which pushes the car in that direction, rather than pure Classy. No different than black wheels put on a car, or really wide one. They all take a classy vehicle and pushes it towards being aggressive. The HRE P101s are not quite as angular, only a bit less, but IMO do look the absolute best. Straight spokes are fine also, just boring. Where I think people are or go wrong with wheels is when the outside is bling diamond cut and the backside is dark. You see that with all the wheels on the DB11. I think those are horrible. My attempt was to make it aggressive as possible, without overdoing it and taking away from the classiness of the car.
I hope all that made some sense.

... the DB9 didn't get the same 6-piston calipers that became standard on the V8s for MY2012.25?

Yes mine is the 05 DB9 I am not sure on many things for lets say 2010 and newer for both DB9 and Vantage's. My market was 2005-2010 for either version, but ended up with the 05 due to rarity and history of the car. It was a no worry purchase, which can't be said a lot when buying cars like these.

Plenty of nature in Hong Kong surrounding the steel and concrete but it isn't what the city is known for.
