Homelink garage door opener
#33
Mine worked the first time on both garage doors. Pushed the "Learn" button on the garage door unit, the pushed the button on the mirror. Had 30 secs to get off the ladder, which was more than enough time.

I had the same thought and installed two repeaters. It would not work so I called Homelink. Turns out you only need one repeater no matter how many doors you have. The two repeaters were competing with each other keeping anything from working. Works fine now with one repeater.

I just got mine and it took less time to get it working than it did to actually read the instructions lol
So now I should just use the same repeater remote and program it to another button then click learn on the other door opener ? Sounds simple enough, i'll report back in 5 minutes

Not really a big deal but rolling code is different from the earlier systems. First have your original remote handy, hold the button on the mirror you want to program for approx 30 seconds or until it begins flashing. Then let go and hold the original remote button near the front of the mirror and hold the button down until the indicator light on the mirror starts flashing faster. Now you are programed but not to the garage door opener. Now go to the opener and press the learn button. Do not hold it in long or it will clear out all of the learned codes. It should light up. Within 30 seconds press the button on the mirror and the lights on the opener should flash showing that it has added a new unit (your car). I even put a remote for the exhaust and used one of the mirror buttons to operate it.

This thread helped me out so thought I'd post another data point. Couldn't get the Homelink button in my 2013 Vantage to work with my new Liftmaster opener. The button in the car wouldn't even sync with the remote. After reading this thread I went ahead and got the Homelink bridge. Programmed the button first time no issues with the remote that comes with the bridge. I guess AM had a stockpile of Homelink mirrors so even though it's a 2013 car it won't work with the 2.0 Homelink standard from 2011. So even if your car is after 2011 you may still need the bridge.
