I'm in Miami too and my friends emailed and called to tell me about this when the story came out.... Glad the lady didn't get hurt!

That's a really strange crime/story.

All of that house and only one person inside.
No stuff to take but a car.
Why did he even bother to take the car?
Did he finally realize that the car was a liability, so ditched it?

What a terrifying experience to be caught in your own home.

Maybe he drove the Vantage for a while and realized that it was just too slow so he left it and went in search of a ZR1.

It is strange. That's a gated community too... How did he get in the neighborhood anyway?? Too many unknowns.. definitely odd....

You can drive right into Gables Estates..... I believe they are public roads and the gate guard is just for show - cant stop you .... Had a friend that lived in there a while back..

Hmm....Even then, if he drove in, where did he leave the car he came in with?

Gates, guards and otherwise, this is a good reminder to all that gated communities, much like the TSA really only provide the illusion of safety and protection.

Well things make a little more sense now.

Not totally random (he knew them).

Awesome that the starting method for an Aston can buy you some time to foil would be criminals.
