So why no console, what's under there?
 

Newbie question.

Is there a reason the older DB9 (my 2006) doesn't have a console between the seats like the new ones do?

Is there something under there that's so close there wasn't room?

DB9 got an interior update in 2008 and that's when the armrest console with storage came about. I personally prefer the original (2005-2007) version -- I think it looks better.

You can swap a newer one into that spot, but they're really expensive.

the driveshaft tunnel is under there and uses most of the space.....there are a couple of electronic modules under there, too
