Aston Martin V12 Zagato with VelocityAP Inconel Headers, Cats, full Power Pack
Hi Everyone,
Really, really excited to post this. This project is probably the pinnacle of achievement for VelocityAP in the entire history of our company. What a fantastic car and owner to work with, and to be able to build the ultimate setup for this car with no expense spare was a dream come true.
I never expected to get to drive this car, but the keys fell into my lap and off we went to shoot some video. I can tell you that 28 degrees, 2WD with brand new un-scrubbed PS2s, 560+ BHP and 460+ ft/lbs demands respect. Took a while to get enough heat in the tyres to give it some throttle.
Even the standard V12V is damn quick and instant torque, but this Zagato, with all that extra power, and 100lbs of dropped weight is astonishing. The ECU changes, coupled with the much freer flowing exhaust manifolds & catalysts make this engine SOOOO responsive. Heel & Toeing is just immensely satisfying as the big V12 blips up so quickly now and slots into gear in a very satisfying way. I tried to demonstrate in the video but in a strange way it is maybe the most satisfying part of the drive!
A big thanks to my partners on the project: www.purwheels.com and www.secretentourage.com

Turn up the Speakers - this one is worth listening to through some decent speakers or headphones.

Jeez, I liked the wheels. It was the spoiler that killed the whole thing for me. It really murders the smooth lines of the rest of the car. JMO...

Lowered would look nice, but I don't know if it is going to happen on this car.

I'm told that there has been a retractable spoiler engineered for the cars which retains the original lines when it is down, but AM wants to fit & test it in the UK before it is available, and even then it might be $30 or $40,000.

It's not often you can use the words "Bad A**" and Aston Martin in the same sentence. But it describes this Zagato to a tee!!
I can't say that I've ever heard a better sounding AM.
Long tubes & programming is definitely in the plan for my V12V!

Wow Stuart, you have been a busy boy!
What a fantastic project.
You took the rarest of current Aston products, added meaningfully to its horsepower and torque, then starred in a really well done video. Most difficult had to be dealing with the bureaucracy of U.S. emissions certification and import.
Reach around and pat yourself on the back!
