Alternative TPMS sensors

I ran into a comment on a company that has a large range of aftermarket TPMS in the Porshe Panorama. I check and they have the TPMS for Aston V8s, and DB9 of $160/set. I have not affiliation

Don't think anybody has used them, I've been asked about them a fee times..they have the years right where's some others I've seen make.it wound like the old sensors are the same as the newer beru system...which there not..the year this site quotes.is the correct smartire system. Just check out the return policy if it doesn't work..when installing though they are not auto learn so you will need a dealer to program the ID numbers on each sensor to the vehicle

Hi Irish 07
do you know can you program the TPMS through an OBD II or does it have to be done at an AM garage.

No other car manufactures that I know of used the SmarTire system system..AM used it cause it was little parts involved..so there is no aftermarket support that I know of besides the sensors..

Only other manufacture that could help would be RV and tractor trailer shops that fitted SmarTire systems ro vehicles..they might still have the hand held programmer to help you...otherwise only place to help you would be a AM shop

Thanks for the info. Insightful and helpful as ever.

Aftermarket TPMS

I have a similar set on a second set of wheels & tires and they work 90% of the time. Intermittently, one or more will temporarily fail. No programing required, the onboard computer reads them automatically. I switch back and forth with no problems.
