51;100k/300k/100k;1 ticket;$1000 deductible (Comp and Collision)

Amica, 6 month premium: $3295

USAA: 6 month premium $3095

Farmers: $485 month, ~$5900 a year

GEICO - will not cover (To high value)

Nationwide - Will not cover the car (To high value)

Grundy - will not cover daily driver car

eSurance - will not cover the car (Unacceptable vehicle is what I was told... )

In my case, I think several factors are in play with this car.

It's value is around $140K, it is high hp, expensive to repair (carbon fiber body panels, carbon ceramic brakes, etc), and I am sure my ticket has a play in this as well.

So I guess the State Farm rate of $243 a month is "relatively" decent.

zvez - that sounds like a decent rate for a daily driver. If you are not planning on driving it all the time I think you could probably do better on the rate.

The rates being provided by posters for their cars really have no bearing on your situation, since a DBS is way, way more to insure than a Vantage. It's in a whole 'nother league, so forget the numbers you've been getting on here (as you can see by the quotes above).

The best you can do is to insure with a collector policy as a non-DD. with an agreed value ($120-$150K, for example). If you really want it as a DD, then you are screwed, so to speak.

Yes, it would appear you are correct. I have learned a valuable lesson here...

Chubb will ensure, but everyone's situation is different. So no point in telling you the quote that I received, but they will insure for above $150K.

My 05 DB9 is about $1100 a year here in Michigan but I put in storage around September so we pay about $750. I'm 32 years old and haven't had a speeding ticket in over 10 years. A lot of variables come into play with auto insurance though.. Good luck!
