DB9 volante rear windshield glass seal broken

DB9 volante rear windshield glass seal broken
On my 2009 Aston Martin DB9, rear windshield has lost its attachment to canvas, which even caused a small like a cm tear in canvas.
I was thinking that may be local body shop can glue the rear windshield back or do any of you think its DIY friendly.
New canopy kit is $ 4285 plus unknown labor. It's an option but it's a special order item, may take 3 months. My color is gold (beige) I was thinking of "SINGE BROWN" or black canopy.
Do any of you can find picture of singe brown roof top anywhere and post it here?
Any pointers on DIY?
