Hey Guys, on a road trip and just got a message saying remote battery is low. What kind of battery does it take and is it easy to replace? Also, when you see that message, any idea how urgent it is? I'm hoping I won't be locked out of the car tomorrow. Thanks

 

Here's a pic how to change out the battery. It's a standard (looks like a coin) CR2032 which you can buy at Lowe's, hardware stores, etc.

 

That doesn't look like my key. I have an 09 vantage but it doesn't have that nub on the end.

 

I've also got the 09 manual, they don't make any mention of how to change the battery, tho it's probably the same battery cr2032 which seems to be pretty common in key fobs.

 

Looking at the 09 manual (see attached) you can open the door with the emergency key if your fob loses all power. If alarm was set prior to this, it will trigger the alarm but the instructions in the pic tell hhow to turn it off.
