Anyone familiar with VIN SCFAD02A18GB21206?

This feels like one of those "too good to be true" deals: a low mileage '08 DB9 for $47,940.
Does anyone know the car?
Thanks!

that's exceptionally cheap and think it's most def too good to be true, hell that'd be a great price for an 08 Vantage.

Start with the carfax and go from there.

Private seller vs dealer sale would be a factor in considering its potential history. Private seller should have all history for the ownership period on registration/title; and why they are selling. It would be interesting to hear from the dealer, if that's the seller, how the pricing was arrived at. Depending what state it was titled for the last few years - double check for water damage. You can always get a car-fax. Good luck, sounds like its worth some investigation.

They have the wrong VIN advertised. See if you can get the correct one.

B10619 was the last 2008MY DB9 Volante. There is definitely something wrong with the VIN number provided.

using a vin decoder it comes back as being correct:
http://www.vindecoder.net/?vin=SCFAD...&submit=Decode perhaps it's for a vantage?

Yes, it decoded all the numbers, but according to the AMOC register, B10619 was the last 2008MY Volante. The VIN is not correct!
AM hasn't made as many DB9 Volantes that the supplied VIN would indicate.

I can assure you that the VIN referenced above is not for an Aston Martin of any year or model.

Incorrect VIN..could it be B10206?

Follow-up

You are indeed correct, Irish07, a search on the VIN you suggested shows the same image used in the New York ad for the DB9.
There is a trail of ads from different dealers for that VIN. I called the number in the ad and left a message a couple of days ago, but haven't heard back. Either way, it's all a bit too suspicious for my risk tolerance!
