^^^^ Believe me, I have to deal with this guilt at home, considering one of my wife's advanced degrees is in Ecology and Conservation Biology. Makes me look like a real hypocrite when my wife is giving lectures on runoff and I'm out on the driveway using a foam cannon to wash my cars.

I did try pulling fuse 22 but it seemed to make hardly any difference. I think I'm going to wait until spring and then decide what to do.

I had not realized that Aston Martin had neutered the sound so much, and now I yearn for the same kind of sound prior to the 2009 model.
It struck me that it could easily be possible for the valve operating rods to become corroded and then to get stuck in either of the closed or open positions. A fair bit of WD40 plus manually working the rods up and down to break any adhesions works for quite a few cases where the valves are stuck open so it's perfectly feasible for them to stick closed. This is no guarantee of success but it's very cheap and very easy to try!... 😆

Good luck! Cheers, Mark

My 2009 was quiet- had it checked out at lake forest and Morries Aston dealerships. They said it was all normal and working properly. They recommended sports exhaust because doing anything else would void my extended warranty. The change to 09 on a non-s destroyed the sound that year. Had I not had the warranty id get the 200 cell cats. That and a few more reasons I traded for a newer GT

I have to following Muffler on my car and it sounds very good with the fuse 22 out...

My 2009 Vantage came with Sports Pack, I wouldn't change anything.

Without the sports pack the 09 lacks the Aston sound - if mine had your options I'd probably would not have traded
