3-pin battery conditioner?

So my '06 DB9 came without a battery conditioner, and it has the older 3-pin connector in the trunk. I've searched the web and found many references to CTEK conditioners, but I haven't found any definitive information about how to rewire the new lighter-style connector they have now to a 3-pin plug.
Anybody know (or have other suggestions)?
Thanks!

I don't think the 3rd pin is used, I would update to a new 12v lighter socket and use the C-tek. Take the panel face off (3 screws) and carpet panel out for access and check the wires. If not take it to any stereo or auto electric shop. they can figure it out.

Thanks. You're right: Looking at the connector in place, the pin socket at 12 o'clock is unused. I actually like XLR-type connectors, so I think I'll graft a male XLR to a CTEK rather than replace the female socket with a lighter receptacle.
