Sports muffler
#3
Any idea what the part # for the sport muffler is? Also isn't the ECU mapped differently for the sport muffler, thought it opened earlier and on the down shifts. Is there a good place other than the dealer to find one?

I happen to have an almost new one (used for less than 350 miles) in the garage but be warned, even though it's quite a bit less than the dealer, it still won't be cheap. Also, it's heavy so shipping might be pricy since you live diagonally across the country from me. It does sound glorious though. And, yes, you can get a firmware update to open the exhaust at lower RPM.

Here's the part number in case anyone needs them.
N420: AD23-5230-AE
V12V: AD23-5230-AC
V8VS: BG33-5230-AB
Sport Exhaust Kit: 6G33-35-10541 (includes Graphite exhaust tips)
I'm not sure what it takes to get the config file for the ECU or if it's something that the dealer must do.
With a little looking on the web I can find the V8S muffler for $2,300 brand new.

The N420 and V12V exhaust are identical and can be ordered as an option for other cars as the Aston Martin Sport Exhaust kit (which includes a set of black chrome exhaust tips). The V8VS exhaust is "similar" but still different from the sport exhausts. lt has more baffling so is not as loud yet still louder and deeper than the standard exhaust. Most reputable places sell the sport exhaust for $3,800-4,200US.
