Ok, is it me or....

is the post 120 mph acceleration of the 4.7 engine of the Vantage V8 suspect? I mean, I can get to 100 easily, 110 comes without a bat-of-the-eye. However, 130, 140… it’s a struggle. I can’t even see how and where 190 is going to arrive.

My 540i would get to 140 easily without paying attention….

What am I missing here?

You might have a small problem, just tested my 4,7 up to 150 no worries there. Naturally I did this in Germany - no speed limit there :-)

Durango has a spectacular aura aboutDurango has a spectacular aura about
130

My 4.7 gets up to 130 easily, and that is at 5k ft altitude. Next time I take it out I will try 150 and see how it does.

I've hit ~170 with my 4.3L, so I'm sure the 4.7L is capable.

N91K is on a distinguished road
Not sure about how long it takes, but its pretty quick going even up to 160-180 (2010 V8 4.7)

I have a problem. I "wind out" 5 gears and I haven't reached 140!

That's my thought? Well, it's not like I'm in the habit of regularly hitting speeds on the open road that can get me thrown in jail.

I'll keep it in mind for the next time I feel naughty...

Don't remember, honestly. Mile or two, starting from 60mph? Just a guess.

And here come's the witty one! You know, I certainly did think about this, but I could get any court case associated with my alleged road speed, based on my ramblings on the internet, tossed for more than one reason.
