Vantage seat heater recall

So we all know theres a recall on the seat heaters in the 07 Vantage .
I haven't made it to the dealership yet as its a 2 1/2 hr drive away and I need to make plane etc to get it done .
Reason I ask is the drivers side heater in my vantage seems to have a mind of its own . Twice now I have been in the car and without the heater switch being on my back and ass were on fire and no amount of fiddling with the switches would stop the heat . Ended up pulling over turn off the car and sit in the seat to help soak away the heat to prevent leather damage then restart and drive away , heater now off .
So what are the symptoms of a bad seat heater module and can I just pull a fuse or unplug the seat heaters under the seat until I can get to the dealership ?

Fuses F60 and F61 (both 15A fuses) in the cabin fuse box, which is under the carpet on the passenger side.
