Trolling? Just following up on your own post. Easy and inexpensive to try. Besides, if it's the original battery it will be on its last legs at 7 years old.

If you've got a roadster, the "Christmas tree dash" can also be caused by the convertible roof module. Don't know if it affects Sportshift operation though.
