Lou and Stu in Victory Lane

Round 9 of the Pirelli World Challenge series was a corker. Lou put in a sterling performance, starting from 6th and working his way through the field to lead the race. Some pressure from Michael Cooper's Camaro left us in second place, but having pushed a little too hard the Camaro ran out of fuel, and the win was there for the taking. Despite some late pressure Lou held on to win in the VelocityAP associate-sponsored LG Motorsports Vantage GT4.
Suffice it to say we are overjoyed to have been a part of it. There's been a lot of work and development to get up to speed with this car and some speed bumps along the way, but we're proud to be able to say that a VelocityAP performance products are now 'Race Winning!
Round 10 was going well, running 5th and fastest car on the track, but a broken wheel bearing put us out of contention.

Great result for the teams first year with the car. The series seems to be doing a good job with keeping performance balanced so hoping they don't come down with additional weight penalties that upset the car after the hard work done so far.
Looks like my current job will be finishing up so will be moving back to Plano in July. Maybe I can spend a bit more time at the shop.
Cheers

That's great Stuart!
Congrats to LG and Velocity. I didn't get to see the car when I was up at LG a couple weeks ago.....but they were working on putting it back together after the last rounds' accident.
They had some crazy cars up there, and word has it they might have a bit more room at the new shop. Enough acreage for some interesting scenarios, in fact.
Talk to you soon!

Congrats! Always good to see AM cars, and forum supporters doing well.
I was planning on visiting you guys at Mid Ohio, however I may be racing at Road America that weekend now.
In any case, good luck on the rest of the season

I'm not at liberty to discuss what specifically has been done to this car, but we have learned a lot from LG's 40 years of racing experience, have helped them out with some of our products, and been able to fine tune some of our offerings as a result.
The Vantage is not detuned in this class. The GT4 cars running to GTS spec are substantially quicker than a road car.
