Here is the full Article:

the AM was in the accident with a Vauxhall Astra. The article did not say much, but has lots of sad pictures. Good news no fatalities.

The mangled Aston was a complete write off, according to police.

is this a new service? They now do insurance appraisals?

jcpca356 07-29-2015 08:06 AM

Really makes me cry, but so good to hear that there apparently were no serious injuries, especially with a little kid in the car. Looks like the car held up well structurally (although we don't know the speed or how the other car looks) -- the front end is crushed, but the passenger compartment is not.

I have to think it will be restored by Works or one of the specialists even though the damage is clearly severe.

I agree with Old phart (sic).Police have no sense of values.
This AM will be repaired as good as new--at a price!!
Remember Rowan Atkinsons Maclaren ?Cost nearly 1million pounds to repair and the insurers wrestled for nearly a year before they gave the OK to a full factory repair.
There were few spare parts so the factory had to re-create them. There will be plenty of spares for this AM.

Argus 08-05-2015 08:22 PM

The insurance agent is getting ready to try not to pay the claim and Aston Works is still adding zeros to the repair bill. I hope it was not the owner's kid driving the car.

Argus, what info is this based on?
