New AM owner questions - Aston Marton V8 Vantage Roadster

Well, I took the plunge and bought a 2007 AM V8 Vantage Roadster (SS) in near-perfect cosmetic condition (inside and out) with 27,500 miles last weekend. It had clear CarFax and AutoCheck reports, and my local AM dealer said it had all the recall services applied. The previous owner spent $7000 in Feb 2015 replacing the clutch, flywheel, and rotor.

A few "newbie" questions:
- Since I live in Philadelphia (west suburbs), could any of you recommend a reputable service center for AM? At a minimum, I need to get a PA state inspection (since I purchased the car in DE).

- When looking under the dash today, I was surprised to see two connectors hanging near the firewall. The black connector appears to be power (black and green/white), and there is also a red 5-pin connector. Can anyone identify what these are intended to be connected to? (aka what component is missing?) I've included a photo...

Thanks in advance!
- Paul

Congrats on your buy from a former V8VR owner! Can't help you with your identification but some exterior pics would be good to see.

Not sure what those specific connectors are for, but not surprised you found unused connectors. The wiring harnesses are made for multiple configurations. Your car's spec didn't need every connector, so some are unused.

What color is the exterior? Goes very well with the light leather.

Thanks! The exterior color is Celeste Blue. I'm pretty sure the interior color is Cream Truffle with black stitching.

Answer to your 1st post. Those connections are for a 3 pedal car. Clutch safety switch and cruse control cancel. No pedal=no switches.

Bamboo

Yes, my understanding is that is the real-wood bamboo insert. The only (minor) thing that I noticed is that the fit on the rear of the navigation screen causes a slight scuff on opening/closing.
