Replace door seal on Aston Martin Vantage

Hi -

Does anyone know how to replace the door seal on the Aston Martin Vantage? I have a MY07 Vantage and the door seal on the passenger is coming off. I think this is the right part...

But I'm not quite sure how to replace it. If anyone here has done it before, please provide any suggestions. Thank you.

I haven't done it on an Aston yet, but I've done them on several other types of cars. They've all been pressure-type installation (just push the seal in). Either rubber nubs molded as part of the seal, or as plastic snap-in pieces that are fitted into the seal. Each was really easy to do on the other cars I've done them on.

You'll want to confirm the part number on here before ordering, since there are a few different seals:

Rich -

Thank you for the quick response. If you've ordered Aston Martins before, where do you normally order from? Thanks.

I've heard good things about the third-party vendors that people post about (like AstonMartinBits) but I use Stuart at VelocityAP. I do enough business with him that we just keep a running tab so it takes a lot of hassle off my plate lol. The OEM stuff I get from him is handled through the dealership in Tyson's Corner, and I have a pretty good relationship with those guys, too. Keeping everything local gives me a lot of peace of mind!

That's great. I just sent an email to Stuart with VelocityAP. I ordered brakes from him last year and remember that he was awesome to deal with. Any suggestion on how I can remove the existing adhesive prior to putting on the new ones. Do I need a heat gun? Thanks.

If it's like all the others I've done, you just pull it out (helps to pry with a trim tool). If you're gentle about it, you can probably find the points where it actually snaps into place without actually removing the seal, and then you'll see how it's attached. Shouldn't need any special tools... maybe a trim removal tool to safely pry the seal up.
