Door strut replacement 2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Hey guys,
I know in the FAQ there is a great post about changing the DB9 door struts, so I thought I would document changing my 2007 Aston Martin door struts.
Here is the link to the post that got me started on this.

Here is the Video of me doing my own.

I got them from the astonmartinbits website. It was $81 shipped to Texas for both of them combined.
Sometimes seeing someone's mistakes makes it easier to avoid :P

Nice video. I have new struts for the doors and for the rear hatch sitting here waiting until it is warm outside.
The ball connector in the front fender well looks easy enough to get to once the liner is removed. You didn't show how you accessed the end inside the door, or were the tennis ***** propping the door open good enough to reach that end of the strut?
Thanks for taking the time to document the process!

It's a little tricky to get at but I basically put my tool that looks like a large needle under the clip and removed the clip then I opened the door with my right arm and pulled the socket off with my left.
You can remove the clip before actually removing the socket because the pressure with the door closed keeps the socket on the ball.
