replacement tpms sensors from AM won't fit

I ordered 4 new sensors from AM and they have been superseded and are now made by Bendix. The problem I am having is that the valve stem and nut have shoulders that prevent them being tight to the rim. probably short by 3 or 4 threads from being able to be tight to the rim. Anybody else run into this? I have the old stems but they are corroded. Waiting to hear back from the vendor now.

Did you get them for the right system? The earlier TPMS was SmarTire, they might use smaller sensors.

telum01 they are for pre 2011 so That shouldn't be the issue. The sensors are physically smaller but the stem is different. Part number CG33-360671-AA

I hit this problem, you have to do the stems up tight enough to break off the tiny flange, and then they will tighten properly. It's something to do with not re-using stems apparantly.

Yep..just keep tightening, the stem washer inside the nut will let go and thus allow to secure all the way.

Just a question though..how are you planning on programming these new sensors?

Irish I will be taking the car to the dealer. Unless there is an alternative and my understanding is that there isn't.

Unfortunately ..no other way, dealer programming only
