Seat retro-fit

Wondering if anyone has tried to fit seats from later cars into early DB9 or Vantage? I hate the look of the seats in my 05 DB9 and have a source for a pair removed from an 08 Vantage but concerned about making a go of it.. Could it be just a simple plug in and go operation? I know they should physically bolt right in..? Any of you fellas given this a try?

I received some information that the CEM (body control module) will need some type of custom programming to make this work with the newer seats that use external modules within the seats to control functions. Does anyone know of a shop capable of this type of work? I've reached out to Mike at Bamford Rose and waiting to hear back. I really want to try and make this work.. I just bought the seats.. Ooops.

Anyone else ever do this? Could I use a CEM from a newer car in addition to the seats to help solve this?

Now it seems like fitting them isn't going to be as easy as I thought.. :/

Not sure if this helps with ideas, but came off a 15' DB9 Gt with corresponding door card design ( I actually like the top door panel covered in leather rather than a wood or piano black), V8V, then a rear of a DB9 15' seat. Final one was obviously a F car, but design was neat looking and different. Shot these last week so hope they help.

That's better than most Ferrari seats. I think they have pretty ugly interiors
