Around 11,000 miles, but the clutch is new.. Maybe 300 miles on the clutch now.

Right speedracer...i suspect a few miles and heat cycles to get everything in-sync and butter smooth. By any chance, was the clutch any particular high heat, carbon/kevlar composite?

I was thinking the same thing. You know how it is.. Every little noise, odor, squeek and vibration becomes suspect when you first get a new car. I'm not sure what the clutch material is composed of.. I'd sure suspect it's a high end composite material as you mentioned.

It seems to be clearing up and I've noticed no other suspicious behavior so it's likely I'm just over thinking this.. I've been known to do that very thing from time to time.

This is the only car that ever emmited a clutch smell for me. It has happened twice. Once in reverse and another time when I began moving from a stoplight on a steep incline and the car in front of me started, stopped and started again, forcing me to hang on the clutch longer than normal.

Another thing I have noticed regarding the clutch/odor is that since I removed the secondary cats (replaced with XPIPE), the car has such improved throttle response and torque that I don't have to "slip" the clutch near as much as I did before to get the car moving. Since doing this, I have no more odor. Obviously, no "direct" correlation between them however, this is another area of very noticeable improvement in terms of driveablity from the removal of the secondary cats.

Not sure if it's as big of a (seat of the pants) improvement on the V8 but with the V12 it's a BIG difference. I can just lift my foot off the clutch with almost no additional RPM needed to get the vehicle moving now. Obviously slipping the clutch as little as possible is the name of the game if you want it to live a long healthy life..

I realize I must sound like the most annoying sales person in the world constantly preaching and praising the improvements I'm seeing from this exhaust modifications..and I apologize for that to all of you who are sick of reading it.

Not normal, probably the throw-out bearing

Guys I have 07 v8v. New factory clutch... Runs great but when pressing clutch in sounds like rocks rolling around. Any idea why or what this could be. I was told it's the springs. Please advise.
