Who is ordering a db11?

With 1400 orders, that's a lot. But how many are spec dealer orders?

So the big question: how many on this forum will be ordering or buying a DB11 or next version of the Vantage?

Assuming they don't screw up the next vantage, if I can afford it, I'll be first in line... Who else?

The reason I bought mine now, and specifically a 2015, is because I'm afraid of what they're going to do to the styling. I'm not a fan of the DB11 (compared to the DB9, at least), and I don't even like the new center console interface on the 2016s (from the Vanquish).

I wouldn't buy a DB11. Love the engine (at least on paper) but I'm not a fan of the interior at all. I'm reserving judgment on the next V8V until I see it. Hoping it looks, sounds, and feels the part.

Waiting on Vanquish

I'm waiting on the Vanquish to see what I will order....I will definitely be ordering either a DB11 or a new Vanquish...

Already told my dealer to put me on a vantage list... Can always take me off if it's too DB11 like.

Called my dealer on Monday, cant even think about getting one for 2 years and then the new Vantage will be out, and by then with our ROE it will be unafordable for us mid income guys.

I'm in a wait and see mode. I like the exterior styling of the DB 11 but don't care for the interior. I would be more interested in the Vantage anyway and will see what it looks like before I do anything. I was going to order a V12VS Roadster manual, that's a mouthful, but I think they want too much for it. I can always buy a used one in 12 months for a lot less. We will see how it all works out.

There is very little about the DB11 I like. These are going to be dangerous times for the company.

When the original 9 was received back in 2004, was anyone here in the marketplace and recall what the reactions were then?
I'm curious if it too was met with mixed feelings as we have with the 11 and then grew to be a classic beauty, or did most agree from the get-go that it was a classic.

I want to love the new styling, but am not a fan of the the departure from "Aston-esque" or "Fisker-esque" proportional elements all working together as they seem to do in the early Gaydon models.

I love the aggressive upper lip not seen since the old Vanq, am disappointed in the side strake design. I'm sure they knew the later would be polarizing.

Prefurbia 05-05-2016 04:43 AM

I don't remember a single polarizing thing. Going from the DB7 to the 9 was enlightening - that should have been the case with the DB11
