i really think my next car will be an Aston Martin Vantage like this one. I'm die hard Porsche fanatic, so eventually i'm sure i'll go back to a 911, however rite now the Aston bug is on! i just need to learn more about these cars and what years to get, what years to stay away from and how to stay under $60,000
To insure an Aston cheap, you need to have a second car anyway where a 911 comes in handy. :D https://www.amazon.com/Definitive-Gu.../dp/095068256X This is a great book with a lot of great pictures to explain the changes between the years. I was pretty clear before I was on the hunt that a facelift with the 4.7k engine is the must have. The book made it very clear it has to be the 2009 or 2010 for me. My budget was lower when I started searching. I came to the conclusion if I want to realize my dream, it has to be perfect and not short cuts what ended up in a large budget stretch. :o |

There is a pretty wide price gap so i may have to go with a 2006-2008 |

Sweet spot I think are '07s for sure in the 06-08 range in terms of price. '08 does have a couple additional perks including an upgraded armrest that I kinda wish I had. Plenty of cars come and go all the time, I picked mine up a little over a month ago but still keep an eye on what's available out there and there are definitely a few I'd consider on the market right now. Figure out your must haves and go from there.

Went on a cruise Thursday. Last picture on the way home. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.6sp...6162c3ae57.jpg Cleaned her before weekend family trip to Orlando. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.6sp...7c1deccf05.jpg Had some friends join us for the mini weekend vacation. They gave my son a ride that my wife was able to get a drive in the Aston. :) Got a great parking spot at the JW Marriott. Valet my car myself but only had the Crystal key with me. All went good besides I stalled my car when I parked her.. hilarious https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.6sp...ecbedab14a.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.6sp...5552eed6fa.jpg |
Long time lurker here, but I felt the need to create an account simply to say: your car is absolutely stunning!
The white V8V with those sport wheels and clear tails looks amazing! I'm also a longtime BMW enthusiast, owned pretty much the entire spectrum. I've had the V8V/S bug for a while now, waiting for the right car and right time to buy. Whereabouts in FL are you? |

Take your time and the right car will pop up. |

Is there a dimmer bulb than factory? I'd rather have it harder to read my plate from behind ;)

Hi Zettinger, great thread and beautiful car! I'm looking for a Roadster and found several in AM dealers. Did you pay your seller to perform the PPI or an Independent?
I recently found a beautiful example in CA but the PPI showed accident damage and other issues by an Indy Inspector that was not disclosed by the dealer or in the CarFax. Having read the other thread about the Firestone tire debacle trashing a car, I'm more paranoid now about an honest and thorough inspection. |

Why did they drop the rotating plate with fictitious tags option? That would be very useful! [especially in Virginia!] ;)
