09 DBS cooling fan gremlins

Team AM board...came across the dreaded 09 DBS cooling fan gremlin (cooling fans don't kick on) = causes high heat condition after 25mins of LA heavy traffic. Cooling fine when moving at highway speeds.

Using voltmeter ...
1) all fuses tested fine
2) cooling fan motors seem to worx - got ground
*seems no signal reaching fan module to kick in the fans upon reaching certain temp?

Any idea where I can get the AM diagnostic books/electric fan schematic? Is there an online tech manual or book purchase source?

My plan is to chase the schematic for diagnostics

Cooling fans not working = loose engine fuse box cooling relay switch open/close loop connections (mistakenly loosened 2x months ago during fuse change); a retorq and Success. A proper thanx to the our 6Speedonline.com AM section forum peoples on electrical diagram manual support.

Glad you got it figured out. In the future you can probably kick on the AC to get the fans to go. Most cars automatically kick on the cooling fans whenever the AC is turned on as the fans draw fresh air through the condenser.

How do you like the DBS? A manual version is on bucket list after selling my DB9.

Right Dan, DBS is world class. Manual is the way to go however, I live in LA and could not be happier with the touchtronic - very smooth and fantastic in traffic. I have a pro-touring 69 Camaro to scratch the manual itch.

Keep your eyes on the DBS market - rare however, always a good feeling when make the transition; especially if you plan on legacy ownership.
