2007 V8V Roadster - top cleaning?

Curious if anyone has any experience with products like the 303 (30571) Automotive Tonneau Cover and Convertible Top Cleaner

Amazon.com: 303 (30571) Automotive Tonneau Cover and Convertible Top Cleaner, 16 fl. oz.: Automotive

All of the reviews say that it is mild and not harmful, but always wary ...

Thanks in advance!

Paul,
I am pretty sure the AM tops are fabric. Haven't touched one in a long while so cannot remember. But.... here is a page with proper products for fabric tops. ONLY use a horse hair brush on it, you don't want anything rough rubbing across it. The horse hair is soft, where plastic type non scratch (haha) brushes are too rough. Also dry the top if possible only with air, not a towel or you will get lint which ultimately finds its way into the fibers and shows. When you use a protectant after deep cleaning, make sure its wiped and dried thoroughly and you will only need to do this once. You must dry as much as possible wiping again and again, to prevent the protectant from running down later over all panels and leaving residue.

Hope this helps, 303 items are good products, just always test an inconspicuous area first then use sparingly. Horse hair brush and Good not cheap car soap works great also (chemical guys is what I use). Remember any product on the shelf locally is usually not really good products. Griots garage products are decent and above the Auto Zone grade Meguires stuff, but there is much better at same prices as Griots. Just FYI

Fantastic information thank you! Looking at horse hair brushes, most of them have very poor reviews (they shed more than than they clean). I ended up ordering one made in Germany, so hopefully it will be better than most.

I use Griot's products, interior cleaner followed by fabric protector. This seems to work nice.
