Anyone know an easy way to access low side charge (6) on AC system? any help would be most appreciated and will be sure to post experience.

My guess is from underneath the car?

Follow the low side hose out of the compressor, you will probably find it on the upper side of the firewall by the looks of the diagram.

Thanks for the input. Have followed and it disappears. There appears to be a longish neck on it, and was hoping it to be accessible with minimal disassembly. I am hoping Irish07 sees this post.

I'm going to be under my car tonight or tomorrow. If you don't have an answer by then, I'll see if I can find it. I know where those two drain hoses dump out under the car, just can't remember off the top of my head which side of the firewall they're on.

I was actually looking to find the drain hoses as well (want to put some AC cleaner in there to address a bit of a smell in the system), but wasn't sure where these are. Are they about an inch or so around and toward the passenger (right side US) side of the car? Thx

That diagram doesn't show the low side service port correctly. Are you looking for the service connection to charge or recover the 134a ?

Yes, The low side seems to be behind something, and the blow up, I am assuming, is beneath. I would love to be incorrect in my assumption...

The low side service port is on the drivers side below the coolant reservoir. Basically opposite side of the high side location.

But I hope you don't have low pressure and your using one of those auto parts store fill cans to try and solve the issue. That stuff is garbage, it's not even refrigerant

Having it done at a local place that specializes in the Denso AC units, and the are evacuating the system and doing it all by the book according to AM specs.

Thankfully, The manual appears to be incorrect, as the low side is easily accessible as seen from the pic posted. In fact had the manual not indicated a specific place, it would most likely have been found. (gave up after seeing diagram) Thanks you very much J doubleU for the info.

Actually the workshop manual is correct, just it's for a RHD. If you look at the pic, the evap mounts on the left side of the vehicle, yet your evap lines mount on the right side. That should of been the dead give away..regardless you found it! :-)

Yet another brain misfire. Never gave RHD a thought as everything else looked per manual diagram. Will post 90k miles report soon.
