Faced with a dead battery on my 2011 V8 Vantage S

Couple of questions:

1) I am dumb enough to put my owner's manual in the trunk so I can't access it. Anyone can take photos of the battery/jump start pages for me?

2) I heard from 2 Aston Martin mechanics, 1 said that try to charge the battery instead of jump starting, the other said that it is perfectly ok to jump start. Is it ok to jump start?

3) I only have one of those 1200 peak amp jump starter around, so my only option is to jump start?

4) I opened the bonnet and hook up the cables from my booster jump starter, turned on the jump starter -> the headlights went off, and alarm went off. I suspect is some key sequencing issue. Anyone knows what is going on?
