Good to see some tests since they made the big announcement back in October. These are also supposed to last 10k miles longer than the PSS per initial reports.
The icing on the cake with the PSS for me was the weight savings over many comparable rivals. I still have not seen weight specs for the new 4S as compared to the PSS.

I just got the newer PSS2's on the rear, haven't gotten the fronts yet. Will say they are softer in warm weather, but a lot more slippery in colder weather.
Hope the 4's are better, also on a side note there seems to have been a price hike lately on Michelins.

Nice find! The new PS4S appear to be a touch heavier than the PSS's but I don't understand the weight of the 245/40 19's?
Do you have a link you pulled these as I need to look at 20" weights. Thanks!

My 2007 Vantage has fairly new Pilot Super Sports, so may be a while before I can justify buying new tires.... but when I do I will be looking at these. I also had PSS's on my 911 and thought they were great tires.

Meant PS2, ok thought the 4S was the next gen PS2.

And here I am considering going the other way to the straight Potenza RE050's instead of the AM9 compound, which while sticky in the wet, I do not like the way they grab coming out of wheel spin. They don't smoothly start to grab so you straighten out predictably, they just grab and once so far has thrown me into opposite lock, from complete opposite lock because they grabbed so hard they just threw the tail the other way. One of those get completely off the gas moments or trees come into play. Grip has it's place, as does weight, but so does sliding the tail around with predictability.
