15mm front spacers for Vantage?

Hi guys,

Im going to be putting the H&R 23mm spacers on the rear of my 2006 vantage (running standard wheels) Is it possible to run 15mm spacers for the front wheels(the same type as the H&R with the studs built into the spacer)?

I know the RSC spacer kit would have been the best option, but I am able to get hold of 15mm spacers locally so wondered if they would have been ok to use?I do not track the car, it is only a weekend toy.

I have the H&R 11mm on my front axle and 23mm rear.
The benefit of the H&R spacers is that you keep the original studs on your car.

11mm H&R have special nuts with longer shafts.
23mm H&R have studs on the spacer where you mount your wheel.

I am sure the H&R front spacers you have will be the 11mm which will use the special nuts. I have these also but wanted to know if 15mm will work:

You are absolutely right..

Damn! I mixed up the BMW spacers I ordered last month with the Aston spacer size. :(

Haha I just ended up looking on H&R's website to see if they did come in 15mm lol

i just feel that 11mm spacers dont really bring the front wheels out as much as the 23mm on the rear which to me looks quite odd. I will be lowering the car also which will make it even more apparent :(

Jeff, that looks really nice. Which size RSC spacers are you using to be clear?

15mm front and 20mm rear. My car's previous owner had them installed with new studs. With the H&R springs (also installed by the previous owner) the tires fill the fender openings perfectly. Here's a photo from the rear -

I have the Sport Pack Bilstein shocks. I learned, from the forum, that H&R springs will mess up my ride quality terrible in this combination.

I ordered VAP springs.

You're right, that is perfect!!!

Just to clarify Zettinger's remarks about H&R springs and ride quality. He has Sport Package shocks on his car, and the H&R springs don't match well with those.

But since your 2006 doesn't have the sport package since it wasn't even offered then the H&R springs will work fine with your shocks. My car looks like it has the sport package because the wheels are sport pack wheels but those were added on at a later date.

You might also want to consider the VAP springs, the consensus seems to be that they don't lower the car quite as much as the H&Rs. Depends what you are going for and willing to put up with. My car has only 3.5 inches of ground clearance behind the front wheels.
