Since I haven't been wrenching, more time to shop online...
Today the courier showed up with my replacement starter for MY007 Vantage.
Normally I would just buy a new starter.
However I found a used one from a salvager.
I was able to watch and listen to a recent video of it starting the 10k mile V8 Vantage it was pulled from.
Cost of $175 seemed worth the risk (versus a new one) to replace my old and tired temperamental starter.
Here are the pictures for my future reference - it will be cleaned before installation.
If a forum member finds this brand /cross reference part number interesting or helpful, that's a bonus

Is there a sticky with cross reference part numbers? Might be useful, but I don't know how to start one.
Looks like this starter fits LR3, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport from about 2006-2009.

I'll definitely post pictures and the part number of the starter I remove for comparison purposes.
Cheers,

More project parts arriving...
Speakers for my OEM Premium Audio conversion (salvager package price of $196 for a set of 5). I will be upgrading the door speakers from standard audio 40W to Premium 100W. The centre channel and left / right rear speakers will also be added. Here are the pictures of the part numbers for a 2007 Vantage:

Thanks Ron. Yes during my search for a Vantage I compared the difference several times and it became an option I wanted. However colours, seats and price were more important factors. Since I knew it could be retrofitted later, I have another project on my list

Found a Premium Sub Enclosure :)
This one was salvaged from a 2008 Vantage coupe for $200
The premium sub is 200W instead of the 80W Standard subwoofer:
Here's the part number to look for or to verify which sub is installed in your early Vantage:. Sticker is visible when you lift up the carpeted package tray:

AMOC visit for preview of DB11 V8 Volante
I was invited to a sneak peak of the new Volante prior to it's debut at the upcoming Toronto International Auto Show later this month. It was nice to have the coupe versions in both V8 and V12 right beside it for comparison purposes. Here are some photos I took from the event:

Checked out 2018 Vanquish for mod ideas
These were ordered new with a lot of exposed exterior carbon options.
While I'm sure carbon fiber will be around a long time due to its strength and lightness, I can't help but wonder if the look is a fad that will go out of style. Here are a few pics of the OEM carbon options - this was the first time I'd seen CF door handles:
Looks like a there are a few good ideas I could use to update the look of my Vantage...

Wow...
So glad I have a 2009 classic looking Vantage.
Those seats are buttugly. Some nice features but since I'm years away from upgrading ...perhaps the newer looks of today will grow on me
