As a current owner of a -5' DB9 with his knob; I can tell you this should be one of the first interior upgrades for any AM. Its wonderfully hot in the summer, and cold in the winter, but using it is so much better. I am really happy that Speedracer800 installed it on my car before I bought it. Very much worth every penny.

I am sure that I am somewhat in the minority here, but having owned several cars with metal shift knobs, I have come to the conclusion that I no longer like them. As noted, they are hot in the summer and cold in the winter. (Although I will admit that the knob does look great)

I hear you. I replaced my metal knob with a wood one; much nicer when hot or cold outside.

First time the cup holder burnt the tender bits of my arm I knew I'd never put one of these very nice knobs on. But a really nice wood one I hadn't thought of!

I also obtained a new DBS shift knob from speedracer800. It certainly is pricey. I was persuaded to buy it because I find find it to be much more attractive than the stock shift knob especially given the spectacular design of the rest of the interior. It will be interesting to see what Aston does for a shift knob in the new Vantage manual cars.

I agree with you.. That knob was the best modification I did to your DB9. I don't find it getting hot to be an issue.. Worst case scenario, one could place a microfiber rag over the knob on the hottest days to keep it from getting beat on by the direct sunlight.. But again it's never been an issue for me in the least. I especially like the heft of it. Makes for an improved throw in my opinion.

Can't go wrong with that Walnut knob either..also very nice.

Yea.. Me too. One of my favorite things about my DBS. I love that shift handle. Everyone who sees it comments on it as well. Such a "statement piece".
