Back in June I pulled into the gas station and wow! there is a DB11!
Unreal coincidence, and yes the guy was just getting it ready to deliver to a test driver near by. I told him I am the test driver But he didnt fall for it. But he did give me the full tour.
The interior looks clean and stitching is superb but looking at that ordinary speedometer was very disappointing. Not very Aston like.
Looking at the Twin Turbo batch under the hood, mmmmm
Well, I was very happy to jump back into my purist Astoro feeling really good about it, knowing This is what I like much better.

Seeing the two together highlights how busy and cluttered the styling has become. The rear even moreso than the front, but both ends have lost some elegance. I definitely prefer the older car. I actually like the pre-facelift Vantage like yours over the later cars with the broken up front and rear lower valances.
I really like the idea of the clamshell hood, eliminating the possibility of scratching up the fenders during service and allowing for better access inside the engine bay. The key to that is the execution. Front hinges can actually make it harder to reach some parts of the engine bay and especially so if it doesn't open wide enough.
