They even sell these on amazon http://amzn.to/2BOe73w although they seem to be a bit more expensive than ordering directly from quickjack's website

Definitely going to pick up a pair in early summer, these would be perfect for my small garage

Received my jack, but haven't put it together and used it yet. Shipped the same day I ordered it. I'll take some pics when I use it the first time. Might be a couple weeks yet.

Quick Jack 5000SLX

... just an awesome product. Using mine with Matt’s - HSM Precision pads - top notch ...

Teekster 01-11-2018 12:03 PM

I can vouch for them as well. Great product if you don’t want to go with a 2 or 4 post lift.

handyman2009 01-11-2018 12:06 PM

Same here love it and feel a lot safer under the car

Scotty4300 01-14-2018 05:24 AM

About the exact position of the jacking points on the Vantage.
I just use the rubber blocks supplied with my Quickjack.
I make sure that the block is middled on the bolt head at the jacking point.
Never had a problem.

007H 06-29-2018 08:51 PM

Quick question. Do you use Matt’s jacking pads with quick jack rubber pad? Or can you just use Matt’s jacking pad without the rubber pad?

handyman2009 06-30-2018 04:50 AM

I personally just use the small rubber pads that came with it and there is no damage to my side skirts and I have the V12 version

Even the short quick jack pads (you get a tall and short set) are too tall to use with Matt's pads and Matt's pads are too short to use alone. It just so happens that a small scrap of a 2x4 works perfectly to sit Mat's pad on.

Scotty4300 06-30-2018 06:42 AM

I use only the pads supplied with Quickjack

Chasp 06-30-2018 12:20 PM

I have a DBS, and I am looking at purchasing a quickjack. I am interested in which model everyone is using?

handyman2009 06-30-2018 04:38 PM

I bought the BL-5000SLX with 120Volt power 2 yrs ago and I love it

Mathman85 07-01-2018 11:03 AM

BL-5000SLX here, as well, but I went with the 12V power source for two reasons: first, the 120V power source was out of stock and I'd have had to wait for over a month; second, with a car jump starter pack (I got a NOCO Genius Boost Plus GB40 1000amp jump starter for it) it's 100% portable if I wanted to bring it to a track. It also lifts the car a little faster than the 120V system, but that's just a bonus.

And I use only the pads that came with the QuickJack, to answer the earlier question.

Reviving this thread again... I postponed by QJ purchase because I was considering the 7,000 unit so i could also service my Ram pickup and SUV's...I kicked my decision down the road and now looking at my annual service in November so i need to get one...
Does anyone have the 7,000# unit... The literature says clearance is 3.6 inches... Do you have to drive over it or can you slide it on from the side? I guess worst case would be to drive the vantage up on 2x10's...

Are you using the rubber blocks that come with it or do i need to get special jack pads

Seems like getting the upgrade unit for me would make more sense but didn't want to have clearance issues if i could avoid them...

handyman2009 09-16-2018 01:12 PM

Those can only be slide from the side, you can not drive over them...

Jeff_335i 09-17-2018 01:58 PM

MRCW - I have the 5000# units and they JUST fit under the side sills of my Vantage. A friend has the 7000# units and they don't fit under my car unless I drive up on some boards.

You don't need special jack pads but the included blocks are too big to fit under the car and also interfere with the side skirts a bit. You can just stack 2 hockey pucks at each jack point and that works fine. You can get hockey pucks for less than $1/each from Amazon.

thanks great feedback...i think for the extra $100 or so, I'm going to get the 7000# one and just drive up on some 2x10s...

My 5k one will be here tomorrow for my DB9 on VAP springs. I got it due to worry the 7k one wont slide under. So hopefully I made the right decision. I also have the special pucks that i got on here to jack the cars up with. This will help me greatly on maintenance, detailing, and paint protection film for cars.

NCVantage 09-27-2018 08:06 PM

Little late on this thread, but I've got the 7000 (also so I can use on my new Ram) and my V8V can drive over them with no problem. I don't use the provided blocks, just a scrap 2x4 and the custom lift pads by Matt here on the site.

SheriffDep 09-27-2018 08:19 PM

Finally got mine in and did my first project. Painted my calipers. I will do a DIY in separate thread for them, but I absolutely love the QJ 5k one. It slides under just fine with plenty of room to spare (my DB9 is on VAp lowering springs).

The QJ came with 3" rubber pads and 4" rubber pads. The 4" wont work with the AM jack pads by Matt. The 3" do fine. However I have to slightly raise the QJ an 1" or so then align the pads. I believer Matt made them with the rubber o-rings so that they would stay in the holes so you can align a jack under the car. 1 of mine stays in the hole, the others fall out. Issue I want to rectify.

Took me about an hour to affix all the high pressure hoses and joints, then set up the pump. Remember you need to have ATF fluid 2.5q on hand to fill the reservoir. Any synthetic ATF or regular works just fine. Also you must pump up 2x cylinders with 50lbs of air before use. Those cylinders took three quick pushes with my air compressor and they were full. Surprised me, it was that quick, so not much air, just the pressure.

After running it up and down 3-4 times, I put the DB9 up on it after fiddling with the pads. Fast and easy to remove my wheels, then brake calipers etc..... Getting it back down, with wheels on it took no more than 10 min. Dropping it, pulling sides out and detaching the hoses and putting all of it away took no more than 5 min total.

This is what mine looked like and with calipers freshly painted, then put up quickly and the other car in the garage.

FWIW just got my latest Costco ad and it has 5,000# quickjack for $1100 delivered.

handyman2009 10-12-2018 01:29 PM

that is an amazing price

MRCW 10-12-2018 01:31 PM

Yes. I was going to get the 7,000# but at this price, most of my cars are at or under 5000# so I just ordered one as early Santa gift

i just ordered mine from Costco, too good a price to miss.

SheriffDep 10-14-2018 12:01 AM

As a couple of members in this thread mentioned, I am now using my QJ with the 4" blocks instead of the 3" and the special lifting pucks. The pucks wouldn't stay in the holes, so trying to line those up, raise the jack just a bit, and then lining it all up was such a pain. So tried the rubber blocks and voila made it easy. Love the QJ, for oil change, and all my detailing work. Can leave the car up on it all week too which helps get little things done with the wheels off.

Just like joining a club

Ordered a Quickjack from Costco today. Waiting 5 to 7 days for delivery. I am thinking life just got a little bit easier. Looking forward to using it!

YOU NEED 2.5 quarts of Automatic Transmission Fluid to make it work. Pick that up before you plan to put it together. Any fluid will work, synthetic or otherwise. Pour it in the reservoir and make sure the cap is tight, but make sure the vent is not tight. I left mine tight, and about vacuum crunched the reservoir when raising the lift.

Also-----you will need a SMALL amount of compressed air to fill the two small tubes. 50lbs each max. It takes a very very very small amount of air to get them to 50lbs.

Use the 4" blocks right under the holes for lifting and you will be set. Raise the lift partially up and down several times before using with car. DOnt raise it all the way up without weight on them.

Hope all that helps, love mine alot. Got a M3 on it right now and been in the air for a week now.

OnyxVantage 10-17-2018 11:40 PM

The Quick Jack videos will also help you to get the setup perfect.

cheers

Dalecannavan 10-18-2018 06:47 AM
