DB11 tyres
Hi guys,
Time for a change of tyres on my DB11 V12.
Carried out a search on here, didn't yield any information.
Apart from the Bridgestones that were fitted from factory (which I have found to be quite poor in both the wet and dry and only last a few thousand miles), anyone fitted anything any other brand? any recommendations?
Any info/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
With thanks.

Great resource for tires in the USA. All the specs and most reviews on current brands.

Michelin is not the obvious choice? Continental extremesport contact are wonderful. I run them on my DB9 and grip is just as good as the PS4's. Tirerack and others did tests on the PS4 and the Conti's when they came out and the PS4 ONLY beat the Conti in the "turn-in" category. I dont drive mine at the limits and dont track it either. So "turn-in" didnt make any difference to me. Saved 200$ on the set, and love them. Several other members have gotten them also and like them alot. Just wanted to give you additional information so you can make an educated decision on what you want. They are great in the wet, and great in the dry and quiet. Perfect for me.

I put the Michelin’s on my V8Vantage when I got the BC Forged wheels. Couldn’t be more pleased. They are much quieter, look great and are lighter. I’m sure that they will wear better. When it is time to change on the DB11 will definitely go with the Michelin tires and probably a set of BC Forged wheels. Changing from the stock wheels and tires saved over 6lbs per corner on the Vantage.

The testing has changed since i last looked 2 years ago. The PS4 is edging the Conti's out. However, treadwear rating on the Conti's is 340 while the PS4 is 300. Might be the difference that the testing is showing. The Conti's WILL last a bit longer due to harder compound used, albeit only slightly. The Conti is the Extremecontact Sport. the tests shown above is a different and older tire
I probably would go for the PS4 now myself, but for my size its about $400 difference between the two and that almost pays for HALF a new set. So would ponder that a bit. Not likely most of us would be able to tell a difference IMHO

you could go too for Pilot Sport 4S front to split water under the rain and Michelin Pilot Super Sport rear for fine motor skills
good job to mix the two as this...

I'm with SheriffDep. I put the Conti ECS tires on my DB9 this Spring and they have been outstanding. Much more compliant ride and way more grip vs the POS OEM Bridgestones. I ran a track day on them a couple weeks ago at Road America. 50 degrees (F) and rainy and the grip was still amazing with imperceptible wear afterwards (mostly due to conditions).

I'd recommend them to anyone who is also considering the PS4S. I saved over $300 going w/ the ECS and between the ride quality, wet grip and overall handling, I've never looked back. It may give up a little in mid-corner grip vs the PS4S, but last time I checked, I'm not an F1 driver.
