Velocity AP ECU flashing tool

It is normally around 24 hours, but at the moment we are absolutely SLAMMED. Between Jaguar, Range Rover and McLaren we sold more than 60 tunes in just over 2 weeks. So turnaround is delayed at the moment, probably a couple of days.

I sent out my original file on Saturday at 15:00, and just received the updated Mod file at 19:00
3 workdays days for a turnaround is pretty awesome, and way better than I was expecting!!
I did notice that my Mod file only had the single option for “Stg 1.â€
I thought this tune shipped with stage 1 - 4 Plus the Valet Map?
What does it take to get the additional map options?
Thanks

Well, that was a blast!
I just installed the stage 1 VelocityAP tune and conducted a test drive.
The throttle response is definitely more eager, and there is an urgency and rush throughout the rev range. It felt more aggressive at idle and even more so when rowing through the gears.
As many have said, this is how the car should've came from the factory.
I'll spend more time driving over the weekend, but so far I'm impressed. It reminds me of sport mode on my old 997s.
I did have the same questions as above: how do we get the other maps? I'm considering exhaust, air filters, and headers in the future.
The ability to flash back to stock is also a very nice feature.

Hi Guys,
We only write whatever files people request when they send in their original file. If you want additional files or features enabled, just ask when you send your original in. (ie - I will be adding sport cats in the New Year, or extra file with idle bump for Twin Plate Clutch)
We don't charge for extra files, but it's 10x less work to do them at the same time.

Normally it's quicker than that - 24 hours or so, but we have been totally swamped as a result of the holiday sale, several McLaren tunes and something like 40 Jag/Range Rover

Thanks Stuart! I see the options listed below on your web site - Can you provide any insight on what other "fully customized options" might be available???
Stage 1: VelocityAP Standard Performance Map 200RPM Limit Increase
Stage 2: VelocityAP Performance Map Sport Catalysts with Secondary O2 Delete
Stage 3: VelocityAP Power Pack Settings with Headers
Stage 4: VelocityAP Race Gas Mapping
Valet Map with 4000RPM Limiter
Other fully Customized Options

But every file we write is a custom map so when you send the original off, just let us know what you're looking for and we can tell you if it's possible, if we have done it, if not if you would like to test it out.

I got my upload last week and installed after my smog test and before the snow yesterday. Now my car is probably put away for the winter now. When I I sent in my file by email I asked what files would be recommended for me. I said I have secondary cat delete and x-pipe mid section. It returned with just the one file and that they set it for 91 octane. After reading this thread I think I will ask for all the additional common files and change the fuel map to 93 octane since that is what I use here.
On the test drive the most notable change was the addition of really prominent crackles and pops. I'm not sure I like that. I haven't heard other people saying they have that after the tune. Is this common or not?

Deckman, I just uploaded my tune and drove my car. Like you, I'm not keen on the amount of pops and crackles on the overrun, it's just too much for me!
Here's a short (not very good) video. Between 10-20 secs into the video (when I drop down a gear) listen to all the pops on the overrun. I think reducing these by about 70% would sound less obtrusive (for me).

I am moving to NoVa end of the month. I plan to relocate my DB9 Jan 3rd. Crossing fingers no snow or rain. I will have no choice but to drive on the 2nd or 3rd. It will be done period. Unless multiple inches of snow or ice. But flurries or dusting it will get driven. Cant be that bad. Kidding slightly there. But I really will have no choice.
Then in garage and washed inside. I plan to do a 70-100 hour paint correction, and underbody prep over the winter. Not saying It wont get driven, not sure I can keep my hands off it that long. But hopefully there will be a few nice days.
