AM Sport Exhaust

Hey everyone. I have a 13 V8V 6MT. To date I have VAP secondary cat delete, VAP mid section x-pipe, and VAP tune. I bought a sport exhaust muffler from another member last year and it's been sitting in my garage since. As I recall that muffler has more of a low growl, is that right? Who has at least the cat delete with sport exhaust here? How do you like the sound?

I am installing the cat delete this Sunday, my V8Vs is equipped with a sport exhaust. I'll upload videos of the before and after

I have same car, 13, v8 6 speed, VAP tune, QS cat delete pipe & aston oem sport muffler. Here is the clip. Hope it helps.

Maybe you bought my oem sport muffler? I have a VAP secondary cat delete and super sport muffler (built in x pipe) and their tune also for my 14 v8 Vantage manual. I like a more aggressive exhaust (my 17 gt350R is about as good of an oem exhaust ive ever heard). The sport oem is solid, decently eventful at aggressive throttle. The vap super sport makes better noise at low and mid throttle is the biggest difference, similar volume at higher throttle position but the x pipe in the muffler really transforms the sound from v8 burble to European exotic (not saying better in particular just very different). I'm happy overall, could maybe even use more aggressive volume, but it probably suits the nature of the car best.

eta: that's funny, I haven't really been on this forum for awhile and checked my messages and you indeed have my oem sport exhaust. I'm guessing with the vap x pipe midsection, tune, ect your car will sound damn similar to mine with the oem sport exhaust (make sure to pull fuse 15 or 22 or whatever it is in your MY). I think you will be happy, like I said I could go even louder but I don't want the drone of a muffler delete and the sound/character of these mods with x pipe probably suits the nature of an aston Martin perfectly and should have been like this from the factory!

eta 2: here is the only video I have of the exhaust. Startup/idle is fairly similar from oem to my mods. The biggest difference was about 50% more volume in low and mid revs and the tone with the x pipe was massively different, smoother, more European exotic than American v8 rumble.

Hey Mike, yes that was me. At startup and idle that's what mine sounds like now. But but at higher engine speed it's a bit more pronounced and I think higher pitched. I prefer the higher pitch and am a concerned the sport muffler will be a lower growl. That isn't what I'm after, I don't want the American muscle sound. Only one way to find out!
