Here is a nice kit also Brake Caliper Piston Tool Kit I always use the tip from the long nose plier and works perfectly fine

Rep Power: 65 Just following up to close this out. Advice above was correct (thank you). I had not wound back the piston, thus the gap. I used the needle nose pliers to rotate it back in. I noticed a massive chunk missing out of one of the ebrake pads and one side was worn down to nothing so I ordered new ebrake pads from Rich (redpants) that he helped develop. Embarrassing squeak is now gone and all is right again.
