Appraisal before auto insurance company will insure
American National Insurance is saving me half off on my auto quote compared to my current provider. However, they said I need to get an appraisal on my AM before they can insure it. Anyone know where to go and how much it costs? Is this normal?

relatively normal for classic insurance at least - as they need to verify condition and value by a trained eye. the odd part is the companies typically have an appraiser in your area to suggest.
i'm curious how they will qualify your guy - simple certifications, i assume.

I ended up hiring Steve Linden, who has been doing this for 30 years. Seems like a great guy.

Does American National Insurance insure DD cars or just classic/exotics? how much savings compare to other Co? I have 70 Chevelle & My 2013 Vantage with Grundy, Im paying $1400 for both on agreed value of 80K each..

I am insuring DD and my AM. They saved me 50% from Mercury. They also saved me 56% on home. Grundy came in at 1.5x more than American National.
