Car wouldn't start - DSC Service Required with Traction Control temporarily off

I have a 2013 v8v manual coupe. I dropped of my car at the tint shop for a touch up. They had the car for about 45 minutes. When I got the car back, I had a tough time starting the car. The car felt like the battery was dying I couldn't start the car the first couple of times. The windows rolled down about 1 inch on both sides. The analog clock rolled forward 12 hours. Then after trying to start the car, 4 or 5 times, the car finally started. There was a "DCS Service Required" then "Traction Control Temporary Off" messages. I have no idea what happened.

I drove the car home. Shut it off and tried restarting the car. Messages all went away. That was a scary phenomenon. Has this every happened to anyone? I’m wondering if they had the key in the ignition for the 45 minutes while working on the car. Would that have caused the error message and the issues starting the car back up? It took me like 4-5 times after they gave me my key to restart the car.

Low battery does odd things to the car. First thing to have checked out.

You can't leave the key in it. Will drain a weak batt pretty quick.

Time to check out/test your battery! If it's more than 3 years old consider changing it as preventive maintenance. Especially if you do not use a maintainer. It sounds like the tint shop may have left the key in the wrong position.

I’ll go get it tested to see where it’s at.

How many miles do you have to drive a week to ensure battery is not drained? Once a week? Twice a week? Minimum of 5 miles, etc?

In just 45 minutes?
Are these batteries that sensitive?

It depends on how worn out the battery is. 45 mins is quite a while and could certainly do it.
