Best Specification & Delivery Experience?

I've been looking at the Porsche configuration and delivery experience; in principle, for someone based in the US, one could climb aboard a plane, fly to the factory at Stuttgart, meet with a specialist to come up with a configuration specification, order the vehicle based on that configuration through a US dealer, and fly back to Stuttgart to pick up the vehicle, drive it around Europe for a bit, have it shipped to the US and pick it up at your dealer--or even one of the US Porsche Experience Centers (all at your cost, of course!).

I dont know if Aston Martin has a formal European Delivery program, but has anyone gone beyond showing up at a dealer to configure and/or collect their car to maximize the experience?

My car was spec'd here, picked up at the factory, driven on the continent for a month, break in service performed by fleet services, then shipped to the selling dealer, and then finally picked up about a month after leaving the UK.
