DB11 V12 oil filter
I need the part # for a oil filter for my 2017 DB11 V12. Also a source for ordering it. Thank you. |
Same as any AM V12 from 2000 on.
|
You can also upgrade to the Ford performance/racing oil filter. |
Just out of curiosity :
Are you going to do your maintenance yourself? |
FWIW, the Mobile One M1-210, M1-210A series are the same size and thread as the Aston Martin Filter. The Purolator Boss PBL2451 is also the same. I have a stack of them from my Ford Econline E-350...
On my list of things to do is cut one up and take a look at what makes it worth 4X. I am pretty sure it's the cost of a global supply chain, and nothing exotic. YMMV, Larry |
Yes I do all of my own maintenance. I’m down to six cars now and retired so I have the time. I try and do them all at about the same time. Usually takes me a good part of a week. I have the tools and a lift in the garage. It is something that I enjoy doing and the $$$$ saved is nice also. |
Personality, I would only use an Aston filter when under warranty. That doesn’t mean the others are not the same - just branded differently. |
+1 you should use an OEM filter just in case.
|
+1 on the above.
If you are concerned about your engine and the state of internals and wear, I recommend: https://www.blackstone-labs.com You can draw a sample out the dipstick tube and have it tested. Worth the $$. |
Thanks to everyone for their help. It is true that the filter used on the previous V12 engines is the same for the DM11.
