Navigation Tilt

I am sure that this has been addressed before but I can't seem to find it. I have a 2010 Vantage Roadster and I am wondering why the Navigation screen sits tilted down? It would seem like it would be better if it was vertical but there must be some reason for tilt?

Do you have a picture of the angle of the screen? Gear drive has issues and could have failed vertical stop position.

They all have a slight tilt down position. Don’t know why, as getting the screen to a full vertical position was a problem for the mechanism.

I think it could be to eliminate glare from the sun, although I can't understand why it would be an issue with it being perfectly perpendicular to the ground. I do have issues with my other cars where it is angled up more than perpendicular.
