Ownership costs of a V12V

Hey guys. I am looking into trading in my 997 Turbo for a 2011-2012 V12V. Would really appreciate if you could give me an idea of maintenance costs. I will not be using it as a daily driver, most likely putting a few thousand miles a year. Thanks!

In my experience Porsches are more expensive to maintain than Astons. But it depends on who's doing the maintenance and where the parts come from.

The gas mileage is about 12MPG average city driving - insurance is about $1000 more for each 6 months compared to my V8 vantage (I have a spotless record). other than that, nothing stands out as more expensive than a vantage V8 after 3 years with a V12S vs. more years owning V8 Vantages.

I've not had to spend much more than the the annual service ($1600-$2000) on mine. I own a 2011 V12. Only real consumables have been tires and a new battery in the 6.5 years of ownership.

I think reliability is pretty good on Aston's, though most people don't put many miles on them so who really knows. I had a 996TT and that was very reliable. Parts are way more for Aston's and there aren't many people who work on them so my bet is labor costs more also, though I try to do everything I can myself. Gotta pay to play I guess.
