I'm not sure what goes here, but this i certainly NOT right. Clearly the O2 sensor issue I have is due to this wire dragging on the exhaust and frayed now, and some moron put in a bolt to hold the other side up. I know something is missing, perhaps a heat shield? I just dont know what to order and how to fix this one but I would rather avoid the dealer costs.

Yep, that's one of the things missing. Hate to say, you should have done a PPI. Genuine hack has been in there for sure maybe one of those cheap clutch replacement jobs. Get it sorted so you can enjoy your new ride.

I should have, but it was a sight-unseen purchased and truck delivered. I knew it wasn't perfect, so i'm taking the time now to make her right.

It looks like on the left hand side there should be one of those wire holders like on the right hand side. Guess they broke it or lost it and just did a hack with the bolt. I've attached a couple pics from the parts catalog that shows the various heat shields. Are you missing the big one?

Literally what you see is what I have, nothing was removed to show this... sadly. So this leaves me a little more puzzled questions.
1. If the heat shield is missing, i'm sure I can order one on eBay or something, but..
2. If the bracket is missing, what does that even look like to order a replacement, and lastly,
2. Clearly I need to replace the o2 Sensor, and I have read Volvo ones are simple and cheaper, but what kind do I get (is this a before or after cat o2 sensor??)

Sorry, new to this stuff and trying to get the car back 100% road ready, I appreciate the help.

You need both left/right side brackets they hold the heatshield in place, the oxygen sensors clip to the heatshield, if you have codes or a code just replace that sensor. Or source all 4. If you use the search function on here I believe they are listed numbers for aftermarket.

Some screen shots from an internet dude's channel. I am too lazy to go and take a picture of the bottom of my car

I found the heat-shield (I think) on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/06-Aston-Ma...gAAOSw65FXqPIR

But I don't see any bracket with it or anything. So the search continues to get what I need. Thanks for the picture above, it does help a little see what should be there.

Buy it now! Brackets are going to be tough to get used. Order from a dealer you could have them within 3-5 days.

Check out https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/ for the parts as well. Great pricing and fast shipping in my experience.

for parts like this, try Pacific motors or even Ebay... there are brakes and used car parts folks that may have what you need, especially if appearance is not hugely important

On the parts diagram for the heat shield it's #2 for the RH side. The left side is just a mirror image. Part # 6G33-3962-GB for the RH side

Another odd question, but I just got the heatshield today, super excited to install it.

What bolts do I need to hold this thing on? Clearly there are the two you can see in the image above, and in my first photo, you can see I have one holding in the wires incorrectly. I'd like to get 2 new bolts here, but I don't know what goes there or how to find out what else holds in the heatshield.

I imagine if there are multiple screws, my car is missing them all sadly ;(
