Tires - 2007 DB9 Volante

I presently have the Potenzas on my car. They will probably need replacement sometime this summer (maybe earlier). These are summer tires and are acceptable for the type of driving I do (mostly cruising on the interstate with occasional twistys). The limit of the car is my higher than my limit. However, the tires, being summer tires, don't like it when the weather is less than 60F. I tend to get a lot of wheelspin on even modest accelerator application. I tend to drive the car whenever the sun is out - from 30F up. I wont drive the car in snow, but have no issue any other time. I am really looking for a 3 season tire. I don't need ultimate in grip - otherwise I would get the PS4s - but I am afraid that i would see the same issue with the PS4s. Any wone try the Conti or others?

I have PS4's and are very happy with them. I do understand the driving conditions in FL are different that PA. I would never put Potenza's back on my 07.

Michelin does a pilot sport A/S 3 that might fit your bill, or just go get the ps4’s and be done with it.

I've been using Conti ExtremeContacts for years now. It's a very good summer tire and good in the rain, but grip definitely drops off in colder temps.

Conti used to make a DWS 3 season tire that was supposed to perform pretty well.

I went with the A/S 3+ but in the sport pack size this past fall. I’m based out of NYC and I drive my DB9 all year round. Tires have been great!

I was absolutely going to the sport pack size. I have the Conti Extreme Contact DWS 06 on my other cars (Lexus GS 350 and 2002 T-Bird). They are really excellent in the rain. I don't need the snow capability, as the car would be a plow. They are available in sport pack sizes and ZR rated. But having the additional grip of the PS4S would be nice....
