H&R spacers won't fit DB9 Sport pack (rear) wheels?
 

I had new 11mm H&R spacers mounted on my '09 DB9 base rear wheels. The hubcentric lip was a snug fit into the base wheels, but it still went in although one of them is still stuck onto the wheel after taking it off the car. I tried to mount the other free spacer onto my newly acquired (split 5 spoke) sport pack wheels and the lip will just not go into the wheel. I can get it in about halfway but then it's stuck. Can't go any further and it's a PITA to get it back out. I have to use all sorts of tactics to try and get it off.

Anyone have a similar experience? FWIW, I applied anti-seize to the spacer and also wire brushed down the inside of the wheel where it makes contact with the spacer.

Following, as I've been interested in adding some H&R spacers to my sport pack wheels. I'm also curious how easily the bolts come out so those can be replaced with longer titanium bolts.

I thought the smaller H&R spacers weren't recommended for the back, can't remember why, but it stuck in my mind. You may have discovered the reason?

The wider H&R 23mm spacers recommended for the rear wheels bolt onto the hub, and have studs that the wheels bolt onto. They fit and can be removed very easily

There aren't any bolts, the spacers and wheels are held on with nuts. I looked for titanium nuts to replace the ones that hold the spacers to the hub, they are shaped like narrow low-profile lug nuts, but must be a custom size that I couldn't find in titanium. But when I checked the weights, they are comparable with titanium lug nut weights. You could of course use standard titanium lug nuts to hold the wheels to the spacers.

Can you verify the sticking out studs will clear the back of the sport pack wheels? I've read some Aston owners had clearance issues depending on their wheels and the interior cut outs.

I have the 2010 sportpack wheels and they have a hole in the back of the wheel that could have been designed for H&R spacers, they fit perfectly. The earlier 5 twin spoke wheels may be OK too, I haven't seen them, but have a look at the back of your wheels, if they have a big void between the holes for the studs, then you are probably OK

I had no problems directly fitting 11 mm H&R spacers to the rear of my sport pack-equipped 2009 V8V. Factory studs were fine when used with the H&R lugbolts that should have come with your spacers.

Yeah, that's what I figured as I've seen V8V's with the 11mm's on the back. I spent a minute sanding down the inside of the wheels and spacer lips with some sand paper and it's fine now. It's a snug fit, but NBD otherwise. Thanks to all who responded.
